In “One Quaker’s Life in the Ministry,” Lloyd Lee Wilson shares some of his own story of calling to ministry and his suggestions for how to surrender to that call, including honing our ability to hear what we’re called to, our availability to obey when the call comes, and our preparation for service. He emphasizes the individual aspects of this work as well as the shared and corporate endeavor of discerning and responding to a call. His article contributes to the theme, “A Quaker Theology of Vocational Ministry” that forms the focus for QRT #137 (Fall 2021). Order this issue and/or subscribe here.
