QRT recently welcomed new members to the advisory council: Eileen Kinch and Derek Brown. Welcome to QRT!
Eileen R. Kinch holds degrees from Chatham College and Earlham School of Religion. She is a member of Keystone Fellowship Friends Meeting of Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative) and the Tract Association of Friends. She is the author of the poetry collection Gathering the Silence. She lives in Lancaster County, PA with her husband and two cats.

Derek Brown is vice president for graduate studies at Barclay College, where he also chairs the pastoral ministry department. He earned his PhD from Johnson University, where his dissertation explored Kansas Yearly Meeting’s adoption of the pastoral system. His first book, On Quakers and Pastors, provided a practical outline of a Friends pastoral ethos, and he is currently working on a monograph for the Brill Research Perspectives in Quaker Studies series. Derek is married to his college sweetheart, Jessica, and has twin daughters: Sophia and Sarah.
